Patrick Oloodoodi Tjungurrayi was born near Jupiter Wells, Western Australia c.1935. Patrick divides his time between the Pintupi homeland community of Kiwirrkura and Balgo. His paintings are often a reflection of the varying influences of these two communities. Patrick is a senior Lawman possessing intimate knowledge of traditional ceremonies for the country around Balgo, Kiwirrkura and Kintore.
